Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum

Nanjing Massacre
This was truly a somber place to be. This location was a one of the many places where there was a mass execution of the people of Nanjing.

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
The Journey to the West ended here when the monk Xuanzang traveled to India and brought buddhist scripture back to China.
Xi'An - Terra Cotta Soldiers
The level of detail to these soldiers was unprecedented. They were all painted and all had unique features.
Peking University
This was the main library. I've never been inside.
Chairman Mao's Classroom
Three Chickens
I visited my extended family in Changsha, Hunan. When I left, only one of these chickens were still alive.
Optical Illusion
Yue Fei
Yue Fei was a general in ancient China. At the time, China was in conflict and the country was divided. Yue Fei deliberately had a tattoo with a missing brush stroke in the character for country (國) to symbolize an "incomplete" country. Unfortunately, he was never able to unify the country.
Mongolian Lambs
Foods like this make me a picky eater.
Mongolian Yurts
Tiananmen Soldiers
These soldiers are marching out of the main gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing.
Drunken Shrimp
The shrimp are actually still alive when they bring them out in this glass bowl.

Jiuzhaigou Valley
My dad and I walked down this valley for about three hours talking about everything from modern Chinese history to all the things he was interested in growing up in Taiwan.

Jiuzhaigou Valley
Hands down one of the most beautiful places in the world. The water has a high concentration of calcium so the trees that fall into the lakes become calcified/preserved.

Huang Long
This remote area in the Sichuan province was beautiful to witness.

Chengdu
The city is probably one of the greenest ones in Chin and all the parks were amazing here.

A view from Nam Co Lake
One of the highest lakes in the world in Tibet.

Tibetan Children

Potola Palace
The Dalai Lamas are all placed in this palace. it is surreal to walk through a place with so much history. That palace itself is 700 years old, which is nothing compared to the 1300 year old Jokhang Temple.

Tibetan Food
Yak meat and potatoes tastes just as good as it sounds.

Jokhuang Temple
This is the most important and spiritual place in Tibetan Buddhism. The interior is scented with ancient candles and incense.

The mountains of Tibet
This was my view of the mountains as we flew through the Himalayas. It almost looks like the islands among a sea of clouds.
